Large Linen Scarf
As with all our linen products this piece has gone through all the stages necessary to dye the fabric sustainably, we start with preparing the fabric for dyeing by removing any excess oils, wax or residue from the fibres. We then prepare the dye bath, in this case the colour was achieved by dyeing the linen with Cutch, a dye extracted from the heartwood of the Acacia Catechu tree. A small thorny tree native to South Asia, grown in Indonesia, East Africa and tropical America. It takes a few days of dyeing to achieve the colour you see & once we are satisfied with the depth & quality of shade we wash/dry the fabric & sew the labels on by hand.
All our products are washed using eco-friendly PH sensitive laundry soap & softener.
Measures roughly 60" Long x 42" wide with a open weave seam through the middle which adds to the design beauty of the piece.
