This beautiful shawl has been woven for us by Molloy & Sons, on the Atlantic northwest coast of Ardara, Co. Donegal.
"Built on the solid foundations of a rich heritage spanning six generations, the Molloy family have been in the textile business since Edward Molloy began weaving in the 19th Century".
With a wealth of knowledge, skill and expertise, the father & son duo are committed to preserving traditional craftsmanship which is reflected in their textiles.
The shawls have been woven from 100% undyed pure new wool which is then hand-dyed using natural plant dyes & traditional dyeing techniques.
This piece is warm & insulating, a perfect layer for thoes extra chilly days.
Due to the natural characteristic of wool, the colour may vary subtly from one shawl to another.
Each shawl is made to order & will take 3-4 weeks to dye & ship.
