What We Do
I create an immersive learning experience around the process of natural dyeing for individuals, groups & corporate clients. Through workshops, classes, talks, my signature course & a monthly membership, I share what I love with others in an effort to inspire creative exploration & connection to the natural world.
My workshops help build new skills & confidence while fostering creativity, community & the sharing of knowledge.
Natural dyes have been around since the dawn of civilisation. Prior to the accidental discovery of synthetic dyes, all the textiles of our world were coloured naturally.
The process of working with nature to produce colour is rife with benefits. Engaging in creative pursuits has been shown to boost brain function while improving our mood and our overall mental health. When you succeed at whatever it is you're creating, no matter the results, your brain is flooded with dopamine, the feel-good chemical that keeps you coming back for more.
Foraging for dyes gets you outside, into nature, connected & knowledgable about your environment. It is grounding, enriching & calming. Creating dye baths, smelling the rich aromas, stirring your pots & dyeing fibres, can be a soothing balm to this hectic world. Filling your life with naturally dyed fibres, fabrics or garments, well that's a whole other level of satisfaction!

Broken into 6 modules our course takes an in-depth look at each stage of the process from raw natural fibres, dye sources & dyeing to beautifully dyed textiles, finished pieces & garments.
