Introduction to Indigo + Shibori Workshop | Sep 15th Dublin 2018

 Indigo is a natural dye, which comes from plants, that gives a vibrant and beautiful blue colour when used to dye fibers and textiles. Indigo is a magical plant and dye to work with & I am excited to share the wonder and joy of it with you in this workshop. 

Come join us Saturday 15th of Sep from 10-2:30pm at my studio in Dublin for a intensive hands-on workshop. You will learn the basics in Indigo dying & creating patterns using the ancient art of Shibori. I will show you how to set up your own Indigo Vat , we will explore various different Shibori Techniques of binding, clamping, tying to create beautiful textile patterns. After some fun exploration & experimentation you will incorporate what you have learnt into a final piece for you to take home. 

ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED and you will leave with all samples made in class and a few extra special surprises!  You are also welcome to bring 1-3 small pieces (no duvet covers!) of your own to dye. 

I will also provide snacks & refreshments.
