I am beyond excited to be collaborating with the girls from Worm in London for a one day workshop in Fumbally stables, on Saturday July 21st. We have organised a beautiful day to share with you from flower arranging in the morning, table setting rituals, a seasonally prepared lunch from a local farm & an afternoon of natural dyeing.
The workshop will be held in the loft of the Fumbally Stables in Dublin, a beautiful light filled space where you will learn how to the basics in choosing flowers for arranging, conditioning flowers and to how to create a structural arrangement using rhythm, personality and flow. Everything will be provided for you, seasonal flowers and vessel, natural dyes and textiles & a beautiful meal.
Throughout the day we will explore the relationship between foliage, food & colour. By directly working with our hands to arrange & create, then gathering together to enjoy the most beautifully prepared lunch. We will have the opportunity to see how these unite & how to work with nature to coax its unlimited range of colours forth.
After lunch I will guide you on how to create colour naturally from the foliage used in your arrangements & your meal. You will learn the basics in preparing fabric, dye baths & using modifiers to create a beautiful range/palette of colours naturally & sustainably. I am so excited to share with you the summer palette that we will be working with.
We are so excited not only to create a beautiful learning environment for you but also to share the magic, the creativity & the day with you. Class size is limited & our workshops fill up fast, click here if you would like more information or to secure your space by booking. To see more about the creative duo that is Worm click here
