Pico Goods + Kathryn Davey
Its been quite sometime since I posted here as its been a busy few months in the studio with adventures had and lots of exciting projects in development. For the last few months I've been working on a exciting collaboration with the ladies from Pico Goods.
Pico produces incredible cotton everyday goods, underwear and towels which can be traced back to the source. Using locally grown fibre they work directly with a small, fair-trade factory in India using organic cotton sourced from farmers’ cooperatives to create the goods they sell.
I have hand dyed a small range of their underwear and handwoven cotton towels for our collaboration. Using Cutch, a natural dye which comes from the heartwood of the Acacia Catechu tree, together we have created an exclusive selection of luxuriously soft, plant dyed underwear.
I'll post a little bit more about the collaboration at a later date but for now I just wanted to let you know we will be having a little gathering to celebrate the launch of our collaboration this Friday the 18th of October in Bethnal Green. If your around the area or have the time to stop by we would love to see you. You will find us at the Chapel, just behind St Margaret's House in Bethnal Green between 7-9 pm.
