Last months workshop was a wonderful success. We spent the day making dye baths from onion skins, avocado pits, alder cones & hibiscus. I also put an Indigo pot on the stove just because I couldn't help myself !
We achieved some beautiful colours and tones from these simple & readily available ingredients. Then we modified the colours even further by adding samples to both acidic & alkaline bath.
We worked with Irish linen, silk and muslin & as always is was wonderful to see how the different fibres take the dye differently.
I don't have any dates on the calendar yet for 2017 but I am hoping to offer this workshop again in February or March. If you are interested in attending drop me an email and I'll add you to the workshop mailing list.
